Adrian Llewellyn-Jones was in the Hertfordshire Police but left to go into business after 8 years having served as a Detective Sergeant with Home Counties Crime Squads and Special Branch. He has started some 25 different businesses from scratch and in 2000 one of his companies was the fastest growing business in Wales having gone from 2 employees and a turnover of £40,000 to 75 employees turning over £5 million in just two years.
With some 35 years of business experience it wasn’t surprising that he quickly found late payment was a huge problem and today circa £60 billion of unpaid invoices is always outstanding and hurting smaller businesses
worst of all.
He decided to do something about it and formed Prompt Payer to raise awareness of the problem and help businesses get paid on time.
With a new website and links to the sister company bizitalk.com, with 4,000 members, he looks forward to significantly expanding the reach of Prompt Payer and hopefully alleviating some of the major problems caused to small business by late payment.
